conor.black is published by Genre Monk LLC. This page explains what the site collects, what it doesn't, and which other companies are involved. It is deliberately short, because the site does very little.

The short version
This site sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. There is no tracking pixel, no advertising network, and no visitor profiling. Nothing you do here is recorded by us unless you type something into a form and send it.
There is one exception to “no analytics”, and it is worth being straight about: the host, Cloudflare, runs its own Web Analytics on the site. It counts page views and measures how fast pages load. It sets no cookies, keeps nothing on your device, and cannot follow you to other websites — but it is a script loaded from Cloudflare, and it is described in full below.
Two forms collect anything at all: the newsletter sign-up, which takes your email address, and the contact form, which takes your name, email address and message. Both are described below.
What happens when you just read
Everything you can see — text, images, styling, and the typefaces themselves — is served from this domain. The fonts used to be loaded from Google, which meant Google saw your IP address on every page; they are now hosted here, so that no longer happens.
Exactly one request goes elsewhere: the Cloudflare Web Analytics script, loaded fromstatic.cloudflareinsights.com. It reports that a page was viewed, which page, where the visit came from, roughly which country you are in, and how quickly the page loaded. It does not set cookies, does not store anything in your browser, and does not build a profile of you or recognise you on any other site.
Like every website, this one runs on a host — Cloudflare — which keeps standard server logs: IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the date and time. Those logs are kept by Cloudflare for its own operational and security purposes. They aren’t used to build a profile of you, and they aren’t combined with anything else on this page.
The newsletter
If you sign up for the Bulletin, your email address goes to Kit (formerly ConvertKit), which runs the mailing list. Kit stores it for as long as you stay subscribed. Kit then sends you back to a page on this site, which links you toBookFunnel — that is where the free novella is actually delivered.
Your address is used to send you the newsletter, and nothing else. It is not sold, rented, traded or shared with anyone. Every email carries an unsubscribe link, and using it removes you immediately — no reply needed, no reason required.
The contact form
What you type into the contact form — your name, your email address and your message — is forwarded to Conor’s inbox and then discarded by the site. It is not saved to a database here, added to the mailing list, or shared with anyone. Your email address is used to reply to you.
The message is passed to Resend, an email delivery service, in order to reach Conor’s inbox — the same way any website’s contact form works. Your IP address is stored for one hour to stop the form being used for bulk spam, and is deleted automatically after that.
Links to other places
Book links here point to Amazon and other retailers and carry an affiliate tag, which is explained on the Disclaimers & Disclosures page. Once you follow one, you are on their site under their rules — they will set their own cookies and apply their own privacy policy, and neither is under our control. The same goes for the social media links in the footer.
Services involved
The complete list of companies that see anything about you because of this site:
- Cloudflare
- Hosts the site and serves every page. Keeps standard server logs — IP address, browser type, page requested, date and time — for operational and security purposes. Also runs Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views and measures loading speed; it sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and does not follow you to other sites. When you use the contact form, your IP address is also stored briefly, for one hour, to stop the form being used for bulk spam.
- Kit (formerly ConvertKit)
- Runs the newsletter. Receives your email address when you sign up, and stores it for as long as you stay subscribed.
- BookFunnel
- Delivers the free novella. Kit sends you there after you sign up, and it handles getting the file onto your device.
- Resend
- Delivers contact-form messages to Conor. Receives your name, email address and message in order to send them on. Nothing is added to any mailing list.
- Amazon Associates
- Book links point to Amazon and carry an affiliate tag. Amazon sets its own cookies once you land there — see the Disclaimers page.
That is the whole list. There is nobody else.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link at the bottom of any email. If you’d rather Conor deleted your address, or wanted to know what’s held about you, just ask and it will be done.
Your information is never sold, rented or traded. Since the site sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, there is no cookie banner to click through and nothing to opt out of.
Children
This site isn’t aimed at children, and Genre Monk LLC does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent something through a form here, get in touch and it will be deleted.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here and the “last updated” date at the top will change with it.
